The New York Jets have witnessed a change of prospects within Week 1 itself. With their recent recruit Aaron Rodgers suffering an Achilles tendon injury. The team certainly looks a bit lost as they suffered their first loss against the Dallas Cowboys’ historic comeback win. Though the scoreline reads a 20-point loss, there are several positives and certain areas of improvement.

Post Rodgers’s injury, the Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh highlighted the way going forward. It takes courage to own the mistakes and come forth with a better strategy. Robert does know how to bounce back and showed positivity in the press conference. As with any side, that goes under a dark period, they seek a way out. The same goes for the New York Jets as they chase their second title. What defines a successful coach is their ability to regroup the squad and inspire them to achieve the desired results. So how is it going be for the Jets for their upcoming matches?

As the HC addressed the media post the crushing loss, he described the strategy going forward. He denied the loss of A-Rod in hampering the team’s chances. Saleh said “It won’t snowball. It’s not going to snowball. Dallas played a really freaking good game, and that’s a good football team, too. They played They played, I feel, about as good as you could. So hats off to them, but like I said, when you can’t get off the field on third down, you’re adding plays to your legs, and eventually you’re going to run out of gas. And I felt like that’s what kind of happened to us, especially on defense.”

Robert Saleh knows a thing or two about winning the SB. Having won the glassware with Seattle Seahawks in 2014 and coming close in 2020. Saleh understands that the loss against the Cowboys is a slight hiccup. He looked disappointed with the chances missed, he pointed out the inability of his offenses to convert on third down. However, taking the lessons forward, Saleh hoped the team would have the gumption and grit to overcome any challenges. Moreover, he looked certain that the team would have a great season despite the unfortunate injury to Rodgers.

The Jets’ side is under the pump. Despite the early days in the NFL. They’re surely missing their seasoned campaigner Rodgers. Zach Wilson, who almost lost the side’s trust last year, needs to prove himself. For the Jets, they did find a way to eke out a victory against the Bills. However,  the side touched a new low with a shattering loss with Dallas.

Robert Saleh isn’t giving up anytime soon. He still reckons the side has the talent and ability to win out the games and make it to playoffs. Saleh seemed irked with the pressers calling the Jets out of the NFL contention with just two games. The HC said “I don’t know why people are trying to put an obituary onto our team’s name. Aaron is an unbelievable piece to this whole thing and we love him, but I think there are 52 other guys in the locker room plus the 16 practice squad guys who believe that we can do a hell of a lot of good things here.”
