The LA Rams almost had it on Sunday night. And then came no.12 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady has once again engineered a 4th quarter comeback and the NFL world got a glimpse of the old TB12. One former NFL coach thinks Brady looked like a young quarterback in the league.

Former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan thought Tom Brady looked like a 30-year-old on SNF against the current Super Bowl champions LA Rams. “He looked like 10 years younger on that podium. I mean, with everything that’s come down on this guy,” Ryan said.

Tom Brady’s mercurial comeback drive against the Rams

The LA Rams were up 13-9 at the two-minute warning in the 4th quarter. All they had to do was get a first down. However, they forgot they were up against ‘Tom Terrific’. The 7x Super Bowl winner displayed his composure as he drove the offense down the field. Tight end Cade Otton made a crucial catch down in the middle before Scotty Miller dropped a vital end zone catch. However, Brady stayed calm and delivered the game-winning touchdown pass to Otton with nine seconds left on the clock.

Ryan thinks the Rams underestimated the offensive prowess of Tom Brady and said, “I don’t care if he’s a shell of his former self. That’s still Tom Brady,” TB12 reached his iconic 100,000 yards passing mark. He had 280 yards against the Aaron Donald-led LA defense.

This was a highly anticipated match up between the last two Super Bowl winning teams. Rams QB Matthew Stafford‘s 165 yards of passing and Bobby Wagner’s 13 combined tackles weren’t enough to slow Brady down. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp ran for 127 yards over 8 receptions in the 16-13 Rams loss.

Is this the comeback Brady and Co. were waiting for?

The clock is Tom Brady‘s best friend and the Rams should have known that. Tampa Tom and the Buccaneers bounced back after three back-to-back defeats before the Rams matchup. The injury-ridden Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently 4-5 and sit at the top of the NFC South division. A few weeks ago, the playoffs seemed distant. However, with Sunday’s last minute Brady magic, fans have hope again.
