Allen Lazard sure of Aaron Rodgers joining him at the Jets

According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, it seems like the newly recruited Jets WR Allen Lazard is not concerned by the standoff between the two teams for the trade of A-Rod. After Aaron Rodgers announced his intentions of playing for the New York Jets at the Pat McAfee show, the NFL world is waiting eagerly for a conclusive decision in this saga.

The trade will happen according to Lazard. He feels that the veteran QB will join him at the Jets very soon. The WR recently also stated that the arrival of Rodgers to the Jets is one of the factors that led him to sign with the team in the first place. Apart from this, the other factor was that it will reunite him with Nathaniel Hackett, with whom Lazard spent three years at the Packers.

The Jets signed Lazard to a four-year $44 million deal recently. He will be teaming up with players to form one of the most formidable offenses in the NFL for the upcoming season. After current Jets QB Zach Wilson failed to impress the team with his performance last season, the Jets have been looking forward to bringing in an experienced QB to help shape the team for a Super Bowl contention-worthy roster.

Will the A-Rod deal pull through?

Eleven days have passed since the declaration made by Rodgers about his future in the NFL. The Packers legend will be an asset if the Jets are able to bring him in. But there has been a standstill going on in the negotiations for the players, as the demand made by the Packers for A-Rod is not settling right with the team who are interested in acquiring the veteran QB.

What’s taking so long? Do you think that the Jets will be able to acquire Rodgers? Are they even interested anymore? Let us know what you think.
