With NFL Week 2 in full succession, new heroes have risen up to the occasion. While seasoned campaigners and established legends are gracing the tournament, new and young players are standing up and performing well for their sides as well. Especially for the Los Angeles Rams, there’s a knight in shining armor who is peaking at the right time.

This young rookie, fresh out of college football is killing it at the 104th edition of the NFL. It’s taken just a couple of games for this rookie to leave the fans in awe of his prowess. From shattering records on-field to keeping a smile on his face at all times, the Rams newbie is doing everything! In a keenly contested loss against the 49ers, he was the only bright spot for the side. It needs to be seen whether the youngster is just a replacement or will his senior pro replace him soon.

If there’s any big takeaway from NFL’s Week 2. It’s just Puka Nacua’s world and everyone’s living in it! The Wahington and BYU collegiate is creating records in his debut season. Nacua in only just 2 games for the Rams has caught the ball 25 times already – a record that seems hard to be broken for ages to come. The 22-year-old is already looking as the steal of the 2023 NFL draft.

With a breakout game against the 49ers, the WR is in a league of his own! In a game that saw the Rams lose by a bare margin against the 49ers. Nacua accounted for 15 catches by covering an impressive 147 yards during the game. This comes after a decent opening game against the Seattle Seahawks, wherein the talented youngster accounted for 10 catches.

Taking his total to 25 catches in just two matches, the WR has shattered the record for taking the most catches in the first two games. The rookie surely seems to be the find of the season for the Rams. However, an interesting question now lies for the management. If Copper Kupp recovers to full fitness, will he walk right into the squad or wait for his chances?

Rams now face the Cooper Kupp dilemma

Cooper Kupp, the Rams veteran and NFL stalwart is nursing a hamstring injury. The injury dates back to August 1, when the SB champion left the practice session midway. In what was deemed as a minor tear, the Rams superstar was ultimately cared for by a specialist. This was when the management made the historic move. Replacing the SB MVP with a young rookie by the name of Puka Nacua.

While it was a blessing in disguise for the LA side. The coach, however, gives his views about the number 10’s return. HC beamed positivity as he addressed the media regarding the same. “We are hopeful about that,”, and further added. “I want to be careful to say, but the reason that we put him on IR was so that you know if it’s going to be those four weeks that he’s mandated to be able to miss and then we can take him off of the IR and be available for that fifth week. That was the reason that we made that decision that we did last week because you don’t know what’s going to really come up.” Though the injury-prone WR is yet to feature in the 2023 games, he’s hopeful of a speedy recovery.
