Gronkowski has not participated in the team practice all week. He sustained a rib injury during his game against Los Angeles Rams, so his chances for playing against the Patriots seem bleak.

Rob Gronkowski suffers an injured rib

After the 32-year-old tight end caught a short pass from Brady, he was immediately brought down by the Rams linebacker Terrell Lewis. Gronkowski left the field in pain but came back after a sideline examination.

Head coach Bruce Arians later stated that the X-rays on Gronkowski’s ribs did not reveal a fracture. However, the injury is still bothering him, because of which he has missed some valuable hours of training before one of the most awaited matches of the season.

Gronkowski was one such player who wanted to play in the Bucs and Pats matchup, but his chances of participation seem to have narrowed down. However, he still promoting the game on Twitter, but that’s hardly a better indication of his future plans.
