Tom Brady is not the only one supposed to have a homecoming at Foxborough this Sunday. Rob Gronkowski also used to be a Patriot some years back. However, it seems like Brady may have to be the lone ex-Patriot in the squad after Gronkowski has been listed as doubtful.

Gronkowski has not participated in the team practice all week. He sustained a rib injury during his game against Los Angeles Rams, so his chances for playing against the Patriots seem bleak.

Rob Gronkowski suffers an injured rib

After the 32-year-old tight end caught a short pass from Brady, he was immediately brought down by the Rams linebacker Terrell Lewis. Gronkowski left the field in pain but came back after a sideline examination.

Head coach Bruce Arians later stated that the X-rays on Gronkowski’s ribs did not reveal a fracture. However, the injury is still bothering him, because of which he has missed some valuable hours of training before one of the most awaited matches of the season.
