For years, players in the NFL and NBA have had major problems with how the media covers them and portrays them in the eyes of the fans. A major antagonist from the player’s perspective during this time has been former ESPN reporter and present-day Undisputed host Skip Bayless. Skip’s controversial takes have often evoked the harshest of responses. Sometimes even the players and owners (Mark Cuban) questioned his takes based on his athletic background. Well, co-host and NFL legend Shannon Sharpe finally said what fans have been so desperate to hear.

Sharpe didn’t have his co-host present in the room to put forward his argument. So he laid it all out during his latest appearance on the New Heights podcast today.

Travis asked Sharpe if his Co-host Bayless possessed the ability to advance for a single yard in a National Football League game. And the 3x Super Bowl champion didn’t take too long to answer. “No. And I’m not saying because he’s average. Ain’t no way they gonna let him get a yard. They are gonna get out of their way. And I’m not so sure that the O-line is going to block for him to get that yard. That’s what’s gonna happen with that one,” Shannon said to uproarious laughter from the Kelce brothers.

The Skip taunting couldn’t have been sweeter for Shannon after the two collided in a heated debate a few months ago. An argument that almost ended their collaborative partnership. A TB12 discussion got way too personal and out of hand. Skip even attacked Shannon’s legacy, claiming that he was never as good as 7x champion Brady.

Sharpe didn’t react lightly, at one point even throwing down his microphone and pen. The duo has moved on from that episode. And today’s Skip comments were undoubtedly some friendly banter. One that has momentarily tilted the balance on Sharpe’s side.
