Former Steelers O-Lineman Takes a Dig at Juju Smith-Schuster

Mike Tomlin-led Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the surprise packages of the 2020 NFL season. The AFC North franchise went on an 11-game unbeaten streak. The likes of Ben Roethlisberger, Chase Claypool, TJ Watt, and even wideout Juju Smith-Schuster impressed during the regular season.
At one point, the Steelers were being tipped to replicate what Tom Brady and the New England Patriots did in 2007 – enter the playoffs with an unbeaten record. However, it wasn’t meant to be. The Steelers were beaten in Week 12 at the hands of the Washington Football Team. They still won their division with a 12-4 record and qualified for the playoffs.
However, they were knocked out in the AFC Wild Card Round by divisional rivals, Cleveland Browns. Experienced wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster received a lot of flak for his off-the-field antics before and after the loss. Now, a former teammate is the latest to take shots at the former USC man.

“I’m assuming it’s not as much fun for the receivers because they’re not getting all of the catches, they’re making the Tik Toks and they’re having fun on their social media,” Villanueva is seen saying in the above clip.
Smith-Schuster had a decent season with the Steelers in 2020. He had 831 receiving yards with 9 receiving touchdowns as Mike Tomlin’s boys bowed out in the playoffs. He re-signed for Pittsburgh after entering free agency a couple of months ago and will be expected to make a strong impact when the season starts in September.
