Ali Marpet has hung up his boots. The 28-years-old Buccaneers guard has been with the franchise for seven years. But out of nowhere he announced his retirement this offseason. The departure of Marpet has freed up some cash for the Bucs which could keep players such as Rob Gronkowski around for longer.

The amount saved by the team could help them keep some crucial players on the roster for next season. Players like Leonard Fournette, Chris Godwin, and of course, Rob Gronkowski, and many more are headed to free agency soon. If Tampa Bay wants to keep them, they must act soon. After Tom Brady retired, it looks like the team is in shambles for the next season.
