But as the 2023 offseason came, the Chiefs lost some key members. Eric Bieniemy headed off to the Washington Commanders. Andrew Wylie is also making his way to D. C. Andrew Wylie opened his career as an undrafted agent out of East Michigan. He spent six seasons with the KC Chiefs after hopping around on several teams’ practice squads. Wylie flourished while competing for Kansas City. Now, he is heading to Washington to embrace his second chapter in life.

After signing a three-year deal worth up to $24 million with the Commanders, the former Chiefs RT wrote an emotional goodbye to the franchise and its fans. He mentioned, “No words can express how much this city has meant to me. It truly has been home for me and my family the past 6 years.”

Free agent Tackle Andrew Wylie is ultimately receiving his wish for a multi-year deal. The Washington Commanders are seeking to reclaim their days of glory and are making an overhaul to do so. The franchise already has Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator and would see a reunion among them.

Wylie’s tackling skills and dynamics are heavily effective. while with KC, he had 71 regular-season games with 59 starts. The athlete’s 2022-23 season was nothing less than flourishing, which led to the Chiefs’ SB LVII win.
