The Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has just been adding more dynamites to a Divisional Round fireworks matchup against the Buccaneers. The additional stakes were put in place by Ramsey in his appearance during the Rich Eisen Show. The vital player in Rams defense, Ramsey does realize the magnitude of the opposition that awaits them on the weekend.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady is one of the most successful players in postseason history. One of the major reasons for success in Tampa Bay for Brady has been his wide receivers namely, WR Mike Evans. The wideout never did come up against the CB during their regular-season meetings for one reason or another. But Godwin being out with injury and Brown leaving them, Brady is very short of WR numbers in his offensive line.

The talented CB will be coming up against one of the top offensive and dynamic players in the NFL. Both Evans and TE Rob Gronkowski do bring challenging propositions for any NFL defensive player.

While speaking on Evans he states, “I will be staying put at times and then playing my position and limiting him as much as I can.” Ramsey did also state that both he and Evans will not be coming up against each other most times. He does relish the game plan that the Rams employ during gamedays and does enjoy the challenges Evans brings with him.

All his statements do ring true and Ramsey vs. Evans will not be possible in every single play. A playoff veteran like Brady will be too experienced to fall for such an opportunity. The 7-time Super Bowl champion though being light of some of his key passing outlets always finds ways to make the most of bad situations.

Both Gronkowski and Evans will be complementary to the returning RB Leonard Fournette looking to ease their pressure. Ramsey will need to be on their best game for a successful outing even if it is against a depleted Buccaneers team. The Divisional Round games will be a stage as good as any for the Rams to make a statement against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
