Aaron Rodgers, QB for the New York Jets, crashed in his first game of the season. The 33-year-old is known to be in a severe condition, as fans wait for good news about his health. On 11 September 2023, the Jets met with the Buffalo Bills in their first opening match of the season. Rodgers sustained a severe injury in his Achilles tendon after a tackle by Leonard Floyd of the Buffalo Bills. In recent rumors, Tom Brady is coming up as a contender by the fans to replace A-Rod. Though it hasn’t been officially confirmed if this will actually happen or not, the return of the former Buc seems unlikely due to his recent retirement.

After this sudden tragic exit of Rodgers, the entire NFL world is involved in a heated debate. The particular question is- who will replace him as the QB for the Jets? This led to an ongoing discussion among the fans of the NFL. Thus, ESPN through their official Instagram account released a post in response. In the post, Dr. David Chao can be seen talking about how Rodgers’ recovery is highly probable and he will still be in a better form than Brady post-recovery. Furthermore, he said, “Even if he is still a bit less mobile after his recovery, he will still be more mobile than Tom Brady at 45.”

Will Rodgers come back anytime soon?

Rodgers will not be coming back to the playing field this year, as per reports. As an ACL injury takes a lot of time to heal, it is probable that he will have to miss this season in recovery. The fans were highly anticipating the debut of Rodgers as a Jets player, but it seems like it wasn’t written in the stars. The veteran quarterback might be considering retirement if the ankle puts his career at a halt.

A-Rod, as his fans call him, is a household name in the world of the NFL. He’s one of the few players that match up to the level of Tom Brady and as such, it makes sense why the fans want Brady to take his place. While Brady hasn’t commented on the situation yet, it is highly unlikely that he will return to the game soon after his retirement.

Do you think Rodgers will come back? Or was this the last time he ever set foot in the field?
