The NFL athletes have their bodies on the line while competing on the turf. Several players sustained injuries, and Patrick Mahomes is among the recent examples. Are Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and several others at risk?

According to CBS Sports, research teams at Boston University discovered CTE in 345 of the 376 former NFL players evaluated as of now. Based on the school’s CTE center, the 91.7% incidence rate of CTE in ex-NFL players stands in stark contrast with the “extremely low population rate” of chronic traumatic brain injury in the general population.

The outcome of taking vicious hits during the game often leads to life-altering diseases. Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion scare this season served as a wake-up call about the dangers of head trauma, which can lead to CTE. Several athletes’ lives drastically changed after they dealt with it.
