Nothing stirs up the news more than a public breakup. With the Undisputed duo splitting after over 7 years together. Social media is churning out stories left right and center. Once one of the most iconic partnerships in sports media, their relationship has succumbed to time with disagreements driving a wedge and eventually apart. Shannon Sharpe has left Undisputed and Skip Bayless in the days gone by. And with his departure, he has seen many accuse him of faking his sadness and tears.

Not many will be understanding and sympathetic when a duo this successful break up. But one former coworker of Bayless shares his two cents on the fallout.

ESPN analyst feels for Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless

Stephen A. Smith, former comrade of Skip Bayless feels immense sympathy after the change at Undisputed. Having worked with Bayless years ago First Take, Smith knows Bayless quite well. He also knows what Bayless is capable of onset.

This helped him in having a better insight as to what might have happened between the former NFL star and Skip Bayless. He recently shared a clip talking about Shannon Sharpe as if he were his brother. He shared sympathy for both Sharpe and Bayless in his tweet.

In the clip uploaded on Twitter, Smith says, “it could not have been handled any better by Shannon sharpe and Skip Bayless. That’s how you do it.” Smith goes on to add how Sharpe said all the right things and relates to him by saying, “And there’s nobody on the planet that can relate to what Shannon Sharpe had to say to Skip Bayless better than me.” Smith credits Skip Bayless for bringing him into the forefront of sports analysis. He says, “Skip Bayless gave him the chance.” “Shannon Sharpe were never a part of undisputed if it were not for Skip Bayless.” With Sharpe and Bayless parting ways, Sharpe appeared on Undisputed to share his goodbyes one last time.

Shannon Sharpe left the show he called his home and work for over 7 years in the last couple of days. With what was his final moment at the show, he took it to thank all of his peers and colleagues for their service and their help. Shannon Sharpe had a lot to say and crowned it by saying, “ladies and gentleman, this is officially my last day at Undisputed.”

As for his partner, Sharpe went on to add how he was responsible for him being at Undisputed. Sharpe credited Skip in his farewell speech for bringing him to Undisputed. Sharpe teared up while talking about Skip despite saying he won’t be crying right now. Skip was feeling the pain as well as he was losing his colleague with whom he hosted the show.

The duo of Sharpe and Bayless have shared many years together and this separation will conjure many theories on top of what already exists. Stephen A. Smith shared a token of respect on Twitter honoring the duo. It will go some way in quelling the allegations of fake tears by Sharpe and Bayless.
