Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have largely struggled this season. And with multiple injuries plaguing the Packers QB1, many have raised doubts if Rodgers will stay at Lambeau Field next season. Head coach Matt LaFleur faced this question about the future of the quarterback, who has largely been the face of the franchise all these years. And he had a four-word response to the query.

Amid the Packers’ struggles this season, Rodgers has been playing through a hand injury for multiple games. He even left the week 13 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles due to a rib injury, although the QB returned to guide his team to victory the very next week.

LaFleur’s four-word response on Aaron Rodgers

There seems to be no doubt in the mind of the Packers head coach Matt LaFleur about the future of Aaron Rodgers. While nobody knows what Rodgers himself is thinking, LaFleur made his feelings clear when a question about whether he wants the reigning MVP to be at Lambeau Field in 2023 came up.

“Yeah, absolutely. Of course,” LaFleur said in a four-word response.

Rodgers has been with the Packers since they drafted him in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft. He won the Super Bowl with the franchise in 2011. Green Bay became a formidable force with Rodgers under the center. And even if A-Rod is approaching 40, LaFleur knows the importance of his quality and experience for his squad. Although nobody would blame one of the best quarterbacks in the league to jump ship after a tumultuous season.

Rodgers has had a decent season amid all his injury concerns. The Packers QB has thrown 2,864 yards of passes with 22 touchdowns. He is fourth in the league in the number of TD passes thrown. Rodgers has a completion rate of 64.3%. The opposing defenses have intercepted nine of his 423 pass attempts. Considering he has played through a thumb injury; this is not bad at all?
