“I hear in video one player says, ‘go, Kev, the trophy right here, come hold the trophy, take a picture with the trophy.’ You also hear me go, ‘Now I’m going up here to take a picture of the trophy. The trophy is right here… All I have to do is turn around. I instead walk to the stage, keeping in mind, dumb. Kevin, this is the most incredible moment for football,” he said amidst laughter.
When Eagles etched a name in the history
A win against legend Tom Brady and the New England Patriots was not an easy feat. The Eagles walked into the game as underdogs but played an all-round game to annihilate the title hopes of the Patriots.
The Eagles knocked off the title hopes of TB12 with a 41-33 win to capture their first Lombardi Trophy. The Birds, led by backup Nick Foles, played an attacking game from the onset. Interestingly, it was the highest-scoring title game in the NFL since 1995.
