“They must have given him the keys to the team”: Buccaneers DB Opens Up On Tom Brady & Tampa Bay Coming to a Mutual Agreement

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Andrew Adams will play his fifth season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But, before the season starts, Adams, in an interview, talked about his teammate and Buccaneers QB Tom Brady. Brady, in March, came out of his 40-days retirement and will play his 23rd season in the NFL.

Andrew Adams recently gave an interview on the show The 3 Point Conversion. In the interview, Raphael Haynes asked Adams how he felt about Brady’s decision to make a comeback in the NFL. Adams said“They must have given him the keys to the team, to the organization. That’s why he came back. That was my first stop.”

Adams further praised Tom Brady and said, “Yeah, tom’s a great guy. Very smart. Obviously, he’s played the game at the highest level for years and still doing it. So just being able to be around somebody like that is a gift.” 

Adams joined Tampa Bay in 2018 and had time to play with the seven times Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in 2020. Brady played his 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and won 6-Super Bowls with them.

After joining Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady won his 7th Super Bowl game by defeating Patrick Mahomes’ led Chiefs by 31-9.

Adams was a member of the Super Bowl-winning team in 2020, and he thinks he is lucky enough to play beside Tom Brady, who has a ton of football experience.

Adams started his professional football career in 2016 with New York Giants. He played two seasons with the team and later, in 2018, signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his rookie season, Adams played 14 games and started 13 of them, contributing 46 tackles, five passes defended, and one interception.

Adams spent the 2019 offseason with the Detroit Lions but signed a deal with the Buccaneers as a free agent on September 10, 2019. Last season, Adams played 14 games with the Buccaneers and started in only 3 of them. He had 24 tackles, four passes defended, and one interception.
