The Chiefs’ poster boy Patrick Mahomes is going through a phenomenal season, and with half of the campaign completed, the gunslinger has been receiving collaboration requests. The most recent one came from his favorite teammate Travis Kelce; however, he passed on the opportunity to head coach Andy Reid dramatically.
Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce host a popular podcast, ‘New Heights’. In the recent episode, the duo sought suggestions from the fans for a new guest. Instantly, viewers clogged up the chat section with Patrick Mahomes chants.

Even before the Kelce brothers would think of planning something out of it, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s name appeared on the screen. While the Kelce’s tweeted asking for suggestions on Twitter, Mahomes hopped in, pitching a similar idea to invite Andy Reid instead of him.

“Oh…That would be a sweep man. He’s a tough a**. It.’s tough so I can’t I don’t know. That’s the one where I’m like, What do I just ask?” Travis Kelce said on the show in an awkwardly nervous tone.
As soon as Jason Kelce realized his brother’s shyness, he asked whether Mahomes would give it a shot and request Reid for an episode. Apparently, he budged back and expressed his fear to do something like that.
“Not going to lie, I’m terrified as well,” Mahomes replied. The quarterback had gone through a similar situation during his shoot for the State Farm commercial.

“I made State Farm ask him first because I was scared,” Mahomes recalled before mentioning how soft-hearted Reid is. “Once they asked him, he kind of came to me and asked me if I wanted him to do it. Obviously, I did because I know how much personality he has. … People don’t see it,” he added.
Fans ask for a Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid collaboration
There had only been a few opportunities in the past when fans actually saw Reid speaking his heart. Thus, it would be a great panel if Mahomes and his head coach come along with the Kelce brothers hosting the show.
C'mon now Patrick. You have leverage on Andy. We all know he is the one drawing moustaches on you while you sleep on the plane
