The starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, passed the concussion protocol. Although he cleared the protocol, the lead QB will not start in the game against the Minnesota Vikings. However, he will return in the Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The senior NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, announced this news. And to the announcements, fans had mixed reactions.

The news comes after the 24-year-old missed two games because of a traumatic injury in the Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. In the game, Tua hit his head on the ground, which resulted in him getting medical help. He was immediately pulled out of the game. He traveled back to Miami with the team. The injury sent the NFL world into a frenzy because this marked the second injury in four days.

The Miami Dolphins faced the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 game. Bills linebacker Matt Milano pushed Tua after he had thrown the ball. The QB fell and banged his head on the floor. He shook his head at least four or five times before and throughout the stumbling and wobbling. He never attempted to touch his back.

After suffering from what many initially thought to be a brain injury but later reclassified as a back ailment, Tagovailoa was controversially permitted to return to that game. Therefore, because of sustaining such life-threatening injuries, NFLPA launched an investigation. And now the result said that the QB is okay to play in Week 7. The news did not sit well with some fans who were quick to express their opinions.

Many fans had mixed thoughts about his return to the field. Some showed happiness, however, some thought the NFLPA did not take the protocol seriously.

A fan questioned how Tua returned after many saw him stagger against the Bills game.

After worrying that he wouldn’t play again this season, Tagovailoa will be back playing with his mates on the field. Through four games this season, the Dolphins quarterback has completed 69.6% of his passes for 1,055 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions, good for a passer rating of 109.9.
