Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has never been someone who has remained out of the spotlight throughout his career. Brown seems to have found himself in yet another instance where the spotlight has fallen on his actions outside of the field. The former NFL champion was in the center of the drama involving a social media prankster, who AB mistakenly thought was rapper Pitbull.

The recent slip from Brown occurred during his outing in Miami’s Ocean Drive, where he met YouTuber and Tik Tok creator Lefty. AB accidentally thought he was in the presence of the famous artist Pitbull and Lefty played up pretending to be Mr. 305.

While Lefty doesn’t even look similar to the Latin American rapping sensation, Brown never had any suspicions.

The result seems quite funny for all Lefty’s viewers as Brown was visibly excited to meet whom he mistakenly considered Pitbull. The former Buccaneers wideout was seen telling the ‘rogue’ Pitbull his admiration of his music. Lefty even did proceed to take a picture with him. The prankster never broke a sweat during the whole ordeal. He took AB’s comments in stride and ran with it.

Antonio Brown’s mistake did evoke a response from the real Pitbull

The former Patriots wideout’s actions in the video went viral, it eventually reached the rapper who introduced himself to AB on Twitter. The famous rapper, while tagging the video, did appear like a good sport towards Brown’s innocuous blunder. He did write a caption stating, “Nice to meet you too” in recognition of Brown’s admiration for him and his music.

While it is another instance of being at the wrong place at the wrong time for the former NFL superstar. It seems AB can’t seem to catch a break in recent months from controversy.
