Ladies and gentlemen, it’s done, or at least we think it is. Former Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots WR, Antonio Brown, has announced his retirement from the NFL for the third time in 10 months.

The following thread by NFL insider Field Yates indicates the entire ‘Antonio Brown retirement’ timeline. The recent set of Tweets by the former Oakland Raiders player seems to be the final nail in his NFL coffin.

But is this all a case of smoke and mirrors? Knowing Brown, it’s safe to say we expect the unexpected.

The last 10 months of Antonio Brown’s life have been one hell of a ride. In all honesty, that is not an overstatement. AB’s journey from greatness to martyrdom has been the stuff of fables.

In the picture above, AB was seen training with Florida-based High School quarterback, Peter Zamora. The youngster was interviewed earlier this week by TMZSports. He said, “He’s in excellent shape.” 

However, things have not gone as planned for the seven-time Pro Bowler.

He was linked with moves to the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and the Dallas Cowboys over the last two months. Brown was also seen training with Seahawks QB Russell Wilson in July.

But his recent Tweets about retirement have put an end to these trade rumors, once and for all.

Antonio Brown joined the NFL in 2010. He was drafted in the sixth round (195th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown has made 800+ receptions and 80+ TDs over the last decade.

He is still and always will be regarded as one of the finest wide receivers the NFL has ever seen. However, chances are his off-field scandals may shroud his stupefying achievements.
