For the sake of improving the offense, the Cardinals made an impressive move by acquiring Hollywood Brown from the Ravens. The Ravens sent the star-wide receiver, along with the No. 100 overall pick, to the Cardinals for the 23rd pick in the first round. The Cardinals’ general manager, Steve Keim, revealed that he had an eye on Brown for the past few years, and this trade is a result of this.

The Lamar Jackson Contract Situation Might Be Getting Out Of Hand Now

Murray was the first pick, while Brown was 25th in the 2019 NFL draft. This trade surprised the Ravens quarterback. Taking to Twitter, Lamar Jackson shared his reaction with the fans. Moreover, Hollywood Brown and Lamar Jackson shared a close bond making significant contributions to the team.

In his three years tenure in the NFL, Brown has 195 receptions for 2,361 yards and 21 touchdowns as a pro. Thus leaving him abruptly was an extreme shocker for Jackson. As soon as the news broke out, Brown tweeted a goodbye to Jackson on Thursday night, writing: “Wish I coulda played with my brotha forever, but ima see you at the top @Lj_era8.”

According to Raven’s general manager Eric DeCosta, Brown had requested a trade by the end of the season. He was unhappy to play with the side and wanted to begin a new journey elsewhere. However, there has been no specific reason for the same from Brown’s end.

Recall- the Cincinnati Bengals picked star wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, to reunite with Joe Burrow

With Brown and Murray set to reunite, a similar story happened in last year’s draft. In a move to add a dynamic playmaker to their offense, Cincinnati Bengals selected LSU wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, with the fifth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The duo led LSU to a 15-0 record and a national championship in 2019. With this, Joe Burrow got an opportunity to partner with his former college mate and kick-start a new journey in the NFL.

The only difference between these two instances was that Chase got drafted the previous year, but the Arizona Cardinals acquired Hollywood Brown from a trade with the Baltimore Ravens.
