The 3-time Defensive Player of The Year will be welcoming his first child with Chicago Red Stars soccer player and wife Kealia Watt. The pair took to social media to share their official announcement pictures with NFL fans globally.

While they will be welcoming a new member, soon-to-be father Watt couldn’t hold back his excitement on Twitter. He tweets, “Could not be more excited.” It was also the first time fans caught a glimpse of his wife’s baby bump as congratulations poured in from family, his team, and fans.

The pair tied the knot 2 years ago in the Bahamas and will be happy about this unique period.

Both Watt and his wife have enjoyed successful professional careers in the NFL and NWSL, respectively. However, injuries have been detrimental to both of their progress in recent times, with Watt missing games through a shoulder injury and Kealia absent due to an ACL injury. The birth of their first child will be a much-needed cheer personally for an eventful Watt family.

J.J. Watt and his impact cannot be dismissed

The Cardinals star recently joined the team following a trade from the Houston Texans last season. With only made 7 appearances, Watt couldn’t give a proper account of his abilities. Despite the lack of promising figures, his impact on the team is undeniable to analysts. According to Pro Football Focus figures, his 18.3% pass-rush win rate ranked 5th among all interior defensive linemen with at least 100 pass-rushing snaps.

The Cardinals were also undefeated before Watt went down injured, and the franchise experienced a slump.
