The NFL quarterback Tom Brady might be the oldest athlete in the league; however, that doesn’t imply that he could make unnecessary remarks, especially referring to army veterans. Well, the passer is currently under the radar getting immensely trolled after he tried to compare his lifestyle with defense personnel.

The Buccaneers quarterback boasts of an illustrious 23-season career in pro football at the highest level. No doubt he is the GOAT, and his records throughout the journey have been spectacular, making him one of the finest personalities in the country. But those unexpected remarks on the army veterans didn’t go well.

In the previous episode of the ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast, along with Jim Gray, Brady explained the difficulties in maintaining his work-life balance and other pleasures amid a grueling NFL season. He is 45, and half of the year drains out, focusing on the game. In the remaining offseason, he gets involved in brand endorsements, business, and other off-field pursuits.

Something that took a toll on his marriage life and eventually led to a divorce. “I almost look at like a football season like you’re going away on deployment for the military. And it’s like, ‘Man, here I go again.'” Brady said in the podcast.

Well, these comments took no time to spread like a wildfire. Moreover, fans started calling out the passer for comparing his life with that of army veterans. They claimed that the quarterback is pursuing a game for entertainment, although it happens to be his full-time job. However, in the case of soldiers, their life is at the stake protecting the borders, and in no sense that makes a comparison.

Soon, the quarterback understood the magnitude of his remarks hurting the public sentiments and apologized later in the press conference. “I have a tremendous amount of gratitude for everyone who served,” Brady said to the reporters before analyzing the games. “And, in the end, we play a game, and the military is defending our country. It’s two different things, and I shouldn’t have made the comparison,” he added.

Tom Brady draws crazy reactions from Army Veterans on an auspicious day

On November 11, every year, the country observes Veterans day as an appreciation to all those who served with honor and to remember the fallen heroes in the line of duty. But this year, social media received a new topic to celebrate, and Brady was immensely roasted online, especially by the Army veterans.

Meanwhile, few others mentioned that he went far ahead with that remark.

No doubt, the passer served for about 23 years, but there is a big difference between holding a football and carrying a weapon. And certainly, after this, Brady understands it very well.
