The free agency has teams shuffling about in order to bolster their roster before the 2023 season of the NFL begins. After their star QB Tom Brady said farewell to pro football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in a quandary. The Bucs were worried about the perfect replacement for the hole Brady’s retirement would leave. But they seemed to have found their answer in the form of Baker Mayfield. Mayfield recently signed with the Bucs from the Los Angeles Rams. While the QB prepares his move to his new team, his wife Emily Wilkinson has been turning up the heat with her girls in Miami.

Emily recently flew to Miami with her girls on what seems to be a girls’ trip for a birthday.

Emily celebrates a night out in Miami amidst her husband’s new move

While the couple prepares for a new journey at Tampa Bay, Emily recently flew out to Miami for a girls’ trip with her friends. According to her Instagram post, she and her friends headed to Miami to celebrate the birthday of their friend Jess Everett. Emily enjoyed her time in Miami as she posted pictures with her girls enjoying the nightlife. Her post shows her having a gala time with her girls, eating good food, and taking shots together.

Emily wrote in her caption, “Happy Birthday jesseeverett. Thanks for the annual excuse for a girls trip.” While she enjoyed her time in Miami, her husband Baker Mayfield was gearing up to start a new phase of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign Baker Mayfield as their new QB

The Bucs recently announced that they are signing Baker Mayfield as their QB for the 2023 season. It seems to be a move to fill the shoes of Brady, who recently retired, leaving a gap in the QB position for the Bucs. The 27-year-old Mayfield has been offered an $8.5 million contract for one year, inclusive of a $2 million signing bonus. He will be eyeing the starting QB role alongside Kyle Trask in his new home in Florida.

Even though Mayfield had an average season in 2022 with the Rams, the QB still has a lot of potential to offer. The Bucs will be wanting to use this potential for a Super Bowl-worthy 2023 season. Fans will be waiting in anticipation to see how well the new signing fills the hole left by Brady.
