FS1’s First Things First had Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildestalk upon Aaron Rodgers. The panel contemplated QB1’s future with the franchise after they narrowly brought back postseason hopes. Wright shared his thoughts on whether this would be A-Rod’s final season.

Nick Wright mentioned, “Aaron Rodgers is so concerned in what he calls fake news and about dishonesty in media. You’re basically in the media at this point with your weekly McAfee Show. So be honest, you’re not walking away from $60 million guaranteed next year. If he plays, he gets $60 million. If he retires, he does not. He fought this offseason for the new contract which guaranteed him the $60 million. If he hadn’t signed the new contract, he would he a free agent this offseason. Free as a bird. When ESPN’s Lisa Salters told Aaron Rodgers after the game that all three of his opponents had winning records, the quarterback paused to illustrate a technicality. “Well, one of them is at.500 right now,” said the Packers’ quarterback. Rodgers was referring to the Detroit Lions, a team that the Packers have systematically destroyed over the years.
