Jones is one of the best players in his position in the league but stuck in an underwhelming team. His situation is similar to NBA player Kevin Durant with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
During his time with Thunder, Durant only made the NBA Finals once. Eventually, Durant left Thunder in pursuit of more championship success.

The Falcons run the risk of Jones following suit. He cannot continue to be one of the best players on his team with very little help.
Jones spoke recently about his recent meeting with Brooklyn Nets‘ Kevin Durant and what the experience was like. Jones was inspired by Durant’s passion and hunger.
“Over the offseason, I had a chance to sit down with Kevin Durant and he’s been battling injuries, things like that. He’s a hungry guy.

Jones entered the league in 2011. He went to the Atlanta Falcons as the 6th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. Since entering the league, he has become a 7-time Pro-Bowl player, 2-time first-team All-Pro, and a 2-time receiving leader in the NFL. His excellent performance this entire decade led them to a 2010s NFL All-Decade team.
This season, Jones has been his usual best. He has averaged close to 15 yards per reception this season and has led the Falcons to a 4-7 record. In a Falcons team that has been poor, Jones has been a shining light.

Jones has missed a lot of games in the postseason for the Falcons. During his 4 playoff runs, Jones only played 8 games in total.
