Atlanta Falcons star QB Matt Ryan has picked up a gruesome-looking injury during his game against the Panthers as his left hand seems to be gushing out blood real bad. The quarterback was rushed to the medical staff for a quick look at the injury, although he has been given a thumbs up to continue his spell.

The veteran quarterback sustained the injury after Panthers’ defensive end, Morgan Fox mistakenly stepped on Ryan’s hand. That step led to the hand bleeding awfully. However, it does not seem to bother the quarterback much as he has been playing well throughout the game.

Matt Ryan bleeds heavily
Incidentally, the good news is that the injury is on the left hand and the quarterback being right-handed is not really much bothered by the injury. The hand did bleed horribly for several minutes before medical personnel could treat him.
The former MVP quarterback, though, seems in need of being sidelined for the rest of the play, but by judging his form, it can be said that the 36-year-old can bear a bit of pain to put the Falcons on a 4-3 lead after week 8.

A test of durability for Ryan
It can be assured that the injury is not serious and the quarterback can continue the rest of the game with ease unless the coach decides to sideline him. In that case, Josh Rosen will be the backup quarterback, replacing him against the Panthers.

Matt Ryan has been in phenomenal shape this season and his dedication to the team is very much evident in his clash against the Panthers. Though it is yet to be seen if his durability and hard work pay off at the end of the game. Ryan, after suffering the injury in the first half of the game, still has been ahead in the QB game against Sam Darnold.
