Jerry Jones is a clever businessman who has taken the failing Dallas Cowboys franchise from dust to the stars. He is one of the most successful and the most competitive man who owns an NFL team. It is only understandable that the man has several things on his plate to take care of.

Owing to his busy schedule, it seems like the Cowboys owner forgot to put Jimmy Johnson, the former coach of the team, on the Ring of Honor. There has been no update regarding this since Jones announced it on national television. Could this be because of the previous feud between these two?

The history between Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson

These two go long back. Jimmy Johnson coached the Dallas Cowboys for five seasons, from 1989 to 1993. Johnson led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl victories before leaving the franchise because of Jones and his bitter relationship.

When asked about the update by Newy Scruggs, he had a rather unimpressive answer. He said, “I do not have time or who for the Ring of Honor today.” Seems like they could not bury the hatchet even after mending out their relationship. Johnson enthusiastically replied to a tweet, which talked about the promised details of Ring of Honor by Jerry Jones.

It is widely accepted that Johnson has been one of the best coaches for the Cowboys. And after the reply of Johnson’s tweet to the burning question, could it be that the induction has been pushed further? Only time will tell.
