Cleveland Browns Prepare to Wear Special Edition Jersey to Celebrate 75th Anniversary

Since the arrival of Odell Beckham Jr in 2019, the Cleveland Browns have been tipped to challenge for the NFL Super Bowl title. However, the Baker Mayfield-led franchise has failed to do so over the last two years. 

The situation has improved considerably ever since the appointment of Kevin Stefanski as head coach. The Browns made the playoffs last season. But they eventually lost to Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Playoff round.

The Browns have started their 2021 NFL campaign on a positive note. They lost their opening fixture to the Chiefs and failed to avenge their loss from 2020. But they’ve gone on to win the next two games against the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears, respectively.

Former Heisman Trophy winner, Baker Mayfield, was at his dominant best yet again on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns quarterback threw for 246 passing yards with 1 passing touchdown to his name.

Coach Stefanski’s boys made their way to a comfortable 6-26 win as the Browns upstaged Justin Fields on his full-time NFL debut at the FirstEnergy Stadium.

But what made this victory more significant was the fact the home team was celebrating their 75th anniversary this weekend. The Browns donned a special jersey for the occasion in order to honor their legacy in the National Football League.

Well, what better way to celebrate an anniversary than with a sweet, sweet win? Up next for Mayfield and Co. are the Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North side recently beat the Seattle Seahawks. They will be in high spirits when they take on the Browns in Week 4.
