While discussing his status in the NFL, he states, “I think teams view him as a starting QB, like he and I, and I think we all would’ve viewed him differently if he wasn’t the 1st overall pick. Like if he would have been a second or third-round pick in 2018, which looking back like is probably what he should have been…

It is a damning statement about Mayfield and his abilities, but he has also delivered on separate instances of his NFL career in Cleveland. He believes if he was drafted in the later rounds, then he would have been seen as a success story by everyone. The Browns fans would have celebrated his minor accomplishments over the years.
