The mark of a true champion is how humble and self motivated they are. Baltimore Ravens‘ Lamar Jackson is a prime example of this. Despite having a bad match from his usual standards, the QB was the first one to point it out. The NFL superstar had some harsh words for his sloppy display and even labeled himself as a “Rookie”.

“Bad passes, inaccurate, under-thrown passes. That’s all I seen. Bad reads,” Jackson told reporters, via the team’s website. “I looked like a rookie. Ain’t no excuses. I’m supposed to play Lamar ball, and I didn’t.… That was just a bad performance. Four interceptions. Hope that never, ever happens again. Not ever.”

“Rushing against that guy is tough” – Myles Garrett compliments Ravens QB

Yes. Lamar Jackson had a night to forget. Yes, the QB had 4 interceptions, but he also evaded countless sack attempts, like he always does. Despite the QB not being at his best, the Browns defence still found it hard to compete with him. Garrett & co weren’t able to contain the dynamic QB and spoke about it post match.

“It’s frustrating. Everybody knows that,” Garrett said. The DE then acknowledged Lamar Jackson’s strength and complimented him. “Anybody in the league would tell you rushing against that guy is tough. You’re rushing against the tackle and him because he’s fast, dynamic, shifty. All the words apply, but we’ve got to find a way.”

The Defensive stalwart further continued, “We found a way multiple times, got pressure on him, had hits on him, couple sacks, made him throw the ball away when he didn’t want to and it still wasn’t enough. We’ve got to find a way to do more. Two weeks, we’ve got to find a way at our house.”
