Russell Wilson and his journey with the Seahawks up until now
Russ Wilson had a magnificent rookie season in Seattle. In fact, he surpassed all expectations and proved his doubters wrong over the 2012 NFL season.
Being the last quarterback to be picked in that year’s draft, Wilson ended the season with a stellar display for the Seahawks. He was named the starting QB that year ahead of Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson.
He even managed to make the Pro Bowl alternates team at the end of that year.

Since then Russ Wilson has established himself as an indispensable component at Seattle. He even helped the Seattle-based franchise to the NFL Super Bowl trophy in 2013.
The Seattle team has been built around Wilson over the last eight years. Russell is primed to challenge Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson for the NFL MVP award this year.
Sky Sports analyst Jeff Reinebold spoke highly of Russ Wilson in a recent interview. “I don’t think people realize how dynamic he is and what really a special player he is.

“That’s not to take anything at all from Lamar Jackson, because Lamar Jackson is unique. But Russell Wilson, you watch him play and watch what he can do.
“He has done it with an offensive line in front of him that is extremely average,” Reinebold said on Inside The Huddle.
