Las Vegas Raiders made a disastrous beginning to the new NFL season. Heading into Week 4, they are the only team with three losses. This forgettable start is despite having superstar QB Derek Carr and newly joined wide receiver Davante Adams on their team. The 29-year-old WR was formerly associated with Green Bay Packers where he played alongside Aaron Rodgers.

Former Cowboys receiver and Pro Football HOF-er Michael Irvin feels there is too much pressure on Carr despite having Adams on their team. He also said Adams should not have left the Packers. “Davante should have stayed in Green Bay. Where you know Aaron Rodgers should have torn off this. Everybody can still be open. He still throws me the football. Because Derek Carr is not going to do this for you. So you would not be leading the league like you were doing in Green Bay. That is just the weirdest thing that is going to work. There’s too much pressure on Derek Carr. He has to throw everything to Davante,” the 56-year-old said.
Davante Adams frustrated with losing streak
The 29-year-old Raiders wide receiver is “frustrated” and “angry” with his team’s performance this season. “Expect more. It’s not easy to win in this league. We know that. Nobody’s naive to the fact that nobody’s just going to lay down and just give you a victory, but at the end of the day, we expect more and we will do better as we move forward,” he told the media.

Initially, when Adams joined Raiders, there have been talks surrounding giving the Kansas City Chiefs a run for the money in the AFC West title. However, the Josh McDaniels-coached Raiders is one of the two teams that haven’t won a single game in the new season. They lost to Tennessee Titans 24-22 in the last game. Earlier, the Raiders were defeated 24-19 by the Chargers and 29-23 by Arizona Cardinals.

What Derek Carr said about the results
Star QB Derek Carr is heartbroken at the losses. “I think just the overall feeling of losing is what breaks my heart. I have seen what it takes to win at this level and I see what our coaches are saying every week. That is why I believe in what we are doing, but we don’t have the results yet,” he said.
