In the sheet of light, a cloud of darkness emerged for the Colorado Buffaloes. Desirably moving in the 2023 collegiate football season, the Buffs faced a huge blow with their wide receiver Travis Hunter’s injury. The star WR formed a formidable on-field duo with quarterback Shedeur Sanders and boasted three consecutive victories, with zero defeats. However, Coach Prime Deion Sanders now faces a big challenge amidst the injury. 

In the game against the Colorado State Rams, Rams defensive back Henry Blackburn hit Hunter. Post this, Hunter managed to stay at the Gridiron for a while, but later he succumbed to the injury and was taken to the hospital. Now, Sanders shares a positive statement for the Buffs’ admirers.

After defeating TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State, the Buffaloes are redefining their presence in the collegiate football fraternity. After Hunter’s injury, he will miss out on the games for three weeks. But Sanders sheds some light on Travis Hunter’s comeback plan after a harrowing injury.

CFB ON Fox’s YouTube channel shared a video of Sanders in the press conference, where he shared an update on Hunter’s injury. Coach Prime shared, “Travis is doing great. Uh! Got out of the hospital yesterday, and he’s at home doing his schoolwork. I’m playing video games being Travis, a wonderful man he can’t wait to get back to continue to do what he’s capable of doing.

Being a sportsperson, Hunter wanted to end the game against the Rams but doctors forced him to exit the game, due to the severity of his injury. However, Hunter now portrays gratefulness toward doctors for making that move.

Travis Hunter is grateful to those who saved him ‘that day’

Hunter shared his reaction at his 12 Talks show with Bleacher Report, where he said, “Good thing the doctors spot me ‘cus if there was no doctors there I would have still been out there playing, but I’m thankful for everybody that helped me that day.”. After suffering from a lacerated liver, the 20-year-old WR is now geared up for his recovery period, but the Buffs face a challenge to fill in his place.

Travis Hunter can be replaced by Javon Antonio, where Anotonio completed the last season with six TDs for the Northwestern. However, Carter Stoutmire and Kyndrich Breedlove are two potential names that can replace Hunter for the upcoming game.
