Patrick Mahomes and his family are having a joyride for the past few months. First, the quarterback and his wife, Brittany, had their second child during Thanksgiving 2022. Then, Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII last week. And yesterday, the family celebrated daughter Sterling’s second birthday.

Brittany Mahomes posted a series of adorable Sterling pictures on her Instagram. And fans couldn’t put a lid on their excitement after seeing cute and mischievous Mahomes all dolled up for her special day.

Sterling Mahomes turns 2!

High school sweethearts, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Hawaii in 2021. Then came their firstborn Sterling Skye Mahomes. Skye turned 2 on February 20. And the family even had newborn Bronze as part of the celebrations, even if it went a little beyond his bedtime.

“My baby girl is a whole 2 years old! I can’t even believe it. These have been some of the best years of my life, being your mama Sterling Skye! You make every day a good day,” former soccer star Brittany captioned her post.

“The days are long and the years are so short. Enjoy every second,” one parent commented. “Such a perfect family,” another wrote. “She looks so happy,” Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother Jackson commented. “That was my favorite age with my girls. She is absolutely beautiful and fortunate to have loving parents,” a mom wrote. “Best years of my life. Treasure every moment. Time goes by way too fast,” another mother commented.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany got some heat for Sterling’s gift

Brittany hates how fast time is flying with Skye already at two. “Please stop growing up,” she wrote at the end of her post. However, it’s been a couple of busy years for father Patrick. Mahomes led the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl win and third appearance in four years, winning the Super Bowl MVP twice.

“2 years old and your husband has 2 rings,” one fan noted. However, Sterling’s highlight this year has to be her expensive Chanel purse that her parents gifted her. And some fans had a problem with the extravagance. One fan wondered, “a Chanel purse for a 2-year-old’s birthday?” Another said with some grinning emojis, “Every 2-year-old needs a Chanel purse.”

However, given Mahomes’ huge $450 million contract, a $5000 purse will hardly qualify on the extravagant list. And the Mahomes will look to ignore the naysayers and shower Skye with the best offerings on this memorable day.
