ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is probably the most theatrical commentator out there today. His antics have made him dear to a lot of fans, except the Dallas Cowboys, of course. His passionate hatred for the Texan outfit is well known, and Smith makes it a point to reiterate it now and then. But it seems, his love for someone supersedes his hatred for the Cowboys. So much so, he swallowed his pride, and donned a Cowboys’ jersey, appearing on live television just to wish his “libra buddy” his birthday. And this special friend is none other than the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

The intro to ESPN’s ‘First Take’ took his co-hosts and fans by surprise when Stephen A. Smith resorted to dishing out a monologue, attempting a Texan accent, and a cigar in hand. When ‘First take’ posted the video, which also included him singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Jones, on Instagram, fans went berserk.

As Jerry Jones celebrates his 80th birthday, the Cowboys will be looking to make his birthday weekend memorable for him. And what better way to do it than by beating division rivals Philadelphia Eagles! The Eagles are 5-0 this season, and if the Cowboys manage to knock them off their high branch, Jones would be the happiest man alive.

But beating the Eagles will not be easy. Cooper Rush and his offense will have to deal with a solid defense, and keep outscoring a dominant Jalen Hurts and his offense. With Dak Prescott still out due to injury, the Cowboys will be hoping that the Eagles do not find a way to shut down their running plays, which they depend on quite a bit. It is seemingly their toughest game on the calendar.
