The Saturday night Wild Card loss against the Buffalo Bills was certainly an embarrassing moment for Bill Belichick. The game was not in his control since the beginning and it was evident that the Patriots lacked execution. At one point in the game, the Patriots trailed the hosts by 27-0 making it hard for the rookie quarterback to come back in the game.

And so after losing 47-17 in Buffalo the Belichick side has called it a season. It’s not the most ideal situation for the franchise since the Patriots have seen better days with Tom Brady. The rookie quarterback Mac Jones is hit by harsh reality and is looking forward to a better 2022 season. For him making the playoffs in his very first season is certainly a start but not the best for Belichick.

And we just couldn’t do much of anything. So, we’ll just pick up the piece, go back to work here. Need to find a way to be more competitive.”
