The New England Patriots HC is currently bolstering a mark of 165 losses to his name, but the number falls down a bit when considering the regular season, at 152. However, the distance between him and the top spot in the losses remains the same at 13. He could make an unwanted history before clinching the record most coveted by any coach in the NFL.
Bill Belichick sits fifth in the list of all-time losses but it could be quite different by the time this year ends, regardless of when the NFL season is set to finish. But if reports are to be believed, Bill Belichick may not have much time to his name to lead the Patriots for much longer. On one of the latest iterations of First things first, Chris Broussard was discussing the future of the Patriots. Kraft may be looking to part ways with the 8x Super Bowl winner after he breaks the record set by Don Shula. Broussard said, “You sit down with Bill you start planning an exit…. Bill I want you to break down Shula’s record in our uniform.”
Broussard also adds that Kraft would not want to fire Belichick, instead find an amicable solution to part ways. “we would like you to retire, not we don’t want to fire you,” says Chris Broussard on the show. Many might agree with the thoughts shared by Broussard, as Belichick is already north of 70.
