The Washington Commanders franchise is looking for a full sale and the bids are coming in. But the frontrunner Jeff Bezos may end up watching the process from the sidelines. Bezos wanted to become the owner of the beleaguered NFL franchise since the process of the sale began. But its $4 billion owner has given a jolt to Bezos, who is worth around $184 billion.

Dan Snyder wanted more than $6 billion to complete the Commanders’ sale after facing scrutiny over alleged wrongdoings as the owner. But he reportedly doesn’t want the franchise to go to Bezos, who may be best placed to take over from him.

Dan Snyder reportedly doesn’t want Jeff Bezos to take over the Commanders as he prepares to sell the franchise. According to the New York Post, Snyder has blocked the Amazon owner from submitting the bid in the private auction even as the current bids fall short of his $6 billion valuation of the franchise. The highest bid is reported to be in the region of $5.5 billion.

Snyder is facing allegations of harassment as the Commanders owner. And he reportedly holds a grudge against Bezos as it was the Amazon owners’ Washington Post, which published reports that brought these allegations to light. So, Snyder does not want to sell the franchise to business tycoon.
