The Washing Commanders are for sale, and the front runners to acquire the franchise are none other than two of the most successful men in America. The Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and the Rap mogul Jay Z are reportedly joining hands with a partnership deal to acquire the NFL team. And guess what? The Commanders might become one of the most expensive franchises.

Last time, back in June, the Broncos made lots of noise while being listed for sale. The billionaire heir to Walmart, Rob Walton, wrapped up the deal for a whopping $4.6 billion.

But this time, according to various reports, Jay-Z and Bezos have put forward a lucrative bid of $6 billion, making it one of the most expensive acquisitions in NFL history. In fact, Bezos was ready to spend more than $5.5 Billion alone. However, Jay-Z’s involvement with minority ownership would help the duo go long in the bidding war.

Only once in a blue do these NFL teams get listed for sale. And it seems the Billionaires don’t want to let this chance slide away. Especially the Rapper, who had earlier spoken about his interest in acquiring an NFL team. Jeff Bezos, who owns a conglomerate, boasts a net wealth of $113 Billion. While Jay-Z’s $1.6 Billion makes them the perfect sharks to engage in talks.

Well, this announcement comes days after the current owner Dan Snyder got involved in a series of alleged misconducts. At the same time, impropriety in revenue management. “Dan and Tanya Snyder and the Washington Commanders announced today that they have hired BofA Securities to consider potential transactions,” the statement read, via Bleacher Report.

“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees, and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL.” It added. Although the management mentioned that they have been evaluating the bids, there hasn’t been any confirmation of a full sale of the Commanders. Snyder took full ownership of this franchise in 1999.
