The Kansas City Chiefs have been crowned world champions in Super Bowl LVII. But the halftime show received a deafening response. Rihanna stole the show with her performance and led the main stage. It was a crazy sight to witness. However, Justina Miles, the SB’s ASL interpreter, rocked as she took over RiRi’s entire show’s interpretation in an electrifying manner. Miles also recalled her interaction with Rihanna after the jaw-dropping performance.

Justina Miles appeared as a special guest on CBS Mornings alongside Gayle King. The co-host asked the ASL interpreter about her experience at Super Bowl LVII and talked about her preparedness for the monumental game day. She also disclosed her and Rihanna’s interaction after the performance via social media.

Rihanna sent out a humble message to SB’s ASL Interpreter

The Super Bowl’s ASL interpreter shared what Rihanna texted her after the game. While they did not get to meet, the Barbadian singer expressed her gratitude to Justina Miles via DMs. She mentioned, “I did not get a chance to meet her, but she did DM me. She was like, ‘Black queen, you’re amazing. We’re BFFs in my head. You were amazing!’ It was beautiful.”

Justina Miles became the first deaf woman to serve as an interpreter in Super Bowl history. Apart from Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Rihanna, she was also one to leave a legacy. Interestingly, Miles can listen to music, but she still falls into the deaf category. Her ability to interpret the show with such grace reaped her a huge fan base.

The NFL does not pay out the stars for their halftime performances. Despite that, it paid off for Rihanna. She became the world’s most streamed artist and gained three million Instagram followers. Her halftime performance drew 118.7 million viewers, five million more than the game. Seventeen of her songs made the Top 40 on Spotify.

Rihanna used two seconds of her performance to advertise her makeup line, Fenty Beauty. She dabbed her skin in the middle of her performance and searches for the brand raised by 833%.

For the singer, it paid off in terms of profits and the gargantuan traffic attraction over her brands.
