Houston Texans are undergoing a transition period under new head coach Dave Culley. They are in a period of rebuilding and were hoping that star quarterback Deshaun Watson will be their key man when the season starts in 2021. The former Clemson Tigers quarterback threw for 4,823 yards with 33 passing TDs against 7 interceptions.
The Texas-based franchise finished last in their division with a 4-12 record. Their poor record saw former coach Bill O’Brien get the sack in the summer with Dave Culley taking up his first head coach position. However, the Texans have been hit with a major shocker as Culley confirmed that Watson will start the season on the bench.

“Not a very vocal guy, but first guy in, last one to leave. I have seen him a little bit more going into 11th year more vocal than he has been. I think those experiences have helped him be in position to lead our football team,” coach Culley told ESPN reporter Aaron Wilson.
