Joe Burrow might be the happiest person in the NFL circuit. Simultaneously, his NFL rollercoaster has already begun. A few weeks into training camp, a concerning injury sent him off the field on a cart, leaving fans and his team anxious about the season ahead. It turned out to be a substantial calf strain, keeping him sidelined for a while.

Given the recent trend of star quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson ($260 million), Jalen Hurts ($255 million), Patrick Mahomes ($450 million), Russell Wilson ($245 million), and Justin Herbert securing massive contract extensions, it’s evident that Burrow is poised to follow suit. In July, Herbert, who was drafted alongside Burrow in the 2020 class, inked a lucrative five-year, $262.5 million deal, making him the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback with an average annual salary of $52.5 million.
