Kansas City Chiefs are all set to welcome Cleveland Browns in their season-opening match with one of the best defensive lineups that they have. All-Pro Safety Tyrann Mathieu is reported to be available in the very first game of the season after making a return from the Covid Reserve.

Mathieu tested positive for Covid on September 1, sabotaging Chiefs’ plans for a perfect start of the season. As their rivalry with the Browns produced an exciting and one of the most competitive matches in the 2020 divisional-round game. The season opens up with them playing against each other, so it’s just like a rematch to that game.

Mathieu had a tremendous 2020 season as he picked off 6 passes and registered 62 tackles. Which earned him a spot on the All-Pro team the second time and his third trip to the Pro Bowl. Hence, being the star safety of the Chiefs, his presence would hold the Browns from taking away unnecessary points.

The Chiefs have made a few more changes in their list; defensive linebacker, Zayne Anderson, gets elevated from the practice squad, Shakur Brown gets released from the practice squad, and also signing Elijah Sullivan to the practice squad.
