According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office on Friday, Everett was driving a 2010 Nissan GT-R at 9:15 p.m. ET when the vehicle left the right side of the road, impacted trees, and flipped over. Soon after, the Washington Football Team also released an official statement acknowledging the safety of the player. “We’ve been made aware of an automobile accident last night involving Deshazor Everett,” the WFT statement said.

A passenger in his vehicle lost their life and we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends who lost a loved one. Deshazor is currently in the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by this tragedy. Our team has alerted the league office and is working with local authorities as we continue to gather more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Two weeks ago, the Washington Football club was inches away from pulling off an upset over the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas offense ran riot in the first half and it looked like a blowout back then. But Washington showed immense mental fortitude to almost snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Since then, the NFC East third rankers have played one and lost one but their never say die attitude still remains the same. The Dallas Cowboys on the other hand haven’t improved offensively at all. The trio of Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and Micah Parsons isn’t exactly lighting the stage on fire. Their sloppiness and lack of chemistry are still visible.
