Brittany is a proud co-owner of the Kansas City Current Women’s Soccer Club. Alongside Patrick Mahomes, who joined the club earlier this year,  is making a significant mark in the history of women’s soccer. The club is in the process of building a new stadium, in Missouri claimed to be the first-ever purpose facility exclusively for a professional women’s sports team. Brittany took to her Instagram story sharing the official post of the club’s update on the construction.

It’s a triumphant moment for Brittany who is also a former collegiate soccer player, to be part of part of a revolutionary project. Brittany kept her followers in the loop when the project hit each stride. Back in October, she made sure to share the momentous occasion when the ground broke for the historical project.

The new venue at an estimated cost of $120 Million is set to open for the players by the the spring of 2024, just in time for their fourth season in the NWSL. Currently, the team makes use of the Children’s Mercy Park, that they share with Major League Soccer’s Sporting Kansas City. The new facility is situated at the Berkley Riverfront Park, in the heart of downtown Kansas City, overlooking the tranquil waters of the Missouri River. Including two grass pitches, Fifa-approved turf layering, and rooms for recovery, wellness, and weight training, the stadium is poised to accommodate up to 22,000 people.

Mahomes’ youngest heads to a legal battle

Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, the 23-year-old Jackson Mahomes is scheduled for a preliminary court hearing on August 31. Back in January Jackson made headlines when he was accused of assault on the complaint filed by a 40-year-old female, the owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge.

The charges against Jackson include three counts of aggravated sexual battery and an additional count of misdemeanor. Subsequent to the charges he was apprehended and later released following his first court appearance on a $100,000 bond. As the younger member is embroiled in the legal tussle, the shadow also looms over the Mahomes household.
