The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are once again Super Bowl contenders for the upcoming season. Due to Tom Brady’s return from his short retirement, this has been made possible. They won the Super Bowl in 2021 and will be ready to fulfill their dream again.

However, the Buccaneers still have some voids to fill in their team. With Antonio Brown not being with the team anymore, they’ll need another top receiver to help Brady. Moreover, the situation around Rob Gronkowski isn’t clear yet. He hasn’t made up his mind yet, regarding his potential return to the team. If Gronk doesn’t return, the team will also require a quality tight end.

There had been consistent rumors about the return of Gronk to Tampa Bay and also about a potential return from the retirement of former Patriots receiver Julian Edelman. Unfortunately for the Bucs fans, both of them joining their team seems rather unlikely. Primarily because Edelman has only joked so far regarding his return to football, and him coming back again to play is not a strong possibility.

However, the Buccaneers are linked with another former Patriots player. Danny Amendola, the former Patriots wide receiver, is on the radar of the Bucs as they look to provide Tom Brady with more weapons. Amendola is a free agent currently and played for the Houston Texans last season. Despite being 36 years old, Brady could benefit from having him in his offense.

Will Danny Amendola be a good fit alongside Tom Brady at the Bucs?

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense already being short-handed due to injuries and players leaving, the inclusion of a veteran receiver like Danny would clearly make them a better team. Danny Amendola has won two Super Bowls playing alongside Tom Brady for the Patriots. The chemistry between the two is already there, and they can truly work together in Tampa as well.

In 29 games for the Patriots, Amendola had 2383 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He played for the Houston Texans last season. Danny was able to play only 8 games due to injuries. However, he still managed to have 248 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

As of now, his inclusion in the Bucs squad in the upcoming season remains uncertain. Although, it will be no surprise if he actually ends up playing alongside Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski once again for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
