Buccaneers’ Richard Sherman Comments on Joe Burrow’s Confidence Ahead of Chiefs Fixture: “If Nine Sacks Won’t Rattle Him, The Kansas City Atmosphere Won’t Rattle Him”

The Cincinnati Bengals offense under the leadership of Joe Burrow has been unstoppable. Throughout the season, they have found rapid-fire success. The LSU alumnus is on another level this year. From smoking in college to becoming the number one overall pick in the 2020 draft, Burrow has impressed everyone. 

In the recent edition of The Richard Sherman Podcast,  the Buccaneers cornerback praised the performance of Joe Burrow. Even after losing headsets and being sacked multiple times, Burrow is unshakeable. Sherman believes that this grit of the quarterback will help him triumph over the Chiefs.

Joe Burrow calling his own shots

The Cincinnati Bengals took on the Tennessee Titans in a division-round matchup. The Bengals defeated the Raiders in the wild card round and advanced to the division round. This game was very tough for both sides. Both the teams were hitting each other hard. A lot of helmets were colliding with other helmets. Maybe one of these hits is where Joe Burrow lost his headset. 

Amidst the division round game, Burrow’s headset malfunctioned. He did not have the head coach in his ear. The Bengals quarterback was out in a situation where he had to make his own plays. Burrow must feel like he has traveled back in time to the old days of the league. Until late in the 20th century, the quarterbacks used to play without headsets. Before that, the quarterback was responsible for his own play.

Joe Burrow was calling his own shots against the Titans. He did a good job, given the position he was in. Burrow got sacked a lot. The Titans’ defense sacked him nine times. But Joe shook it off and led his team to victory.  

Burrow Cannot be rattled according to Richard Sherman

After a hard-hitting victory over the Titans, the Bengals will face the Kansas City Chiefs. The game will take place in Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Chiefs. The crowd will be wild and loud. 

Richard Sherman says that it won’t affect Joe Burrow at all. In his podcast, the Bucs’ CB said, “If nine sacks can’t rattle him, The Kansas City atmosphere won’t rattle him.”
