Houston Texans’ quarterback situation has been very dire. They lost their starter, Tyrod Taylor, earlier in the season with an injury. With him being out for an extended period and Deshaun Watson having potentially played his last game for the franchise, Davis Mills received the nod to start for the Texans.

This has led to fans and critics clamoring for a replacement. The front runner as the replacement is free agent Cam Newton.

Will Cam Newton join Houston Texans?

While there has been no credible news from Newton’s side about joining the Texans, it makes complete sense for the Texans to make a move for him. While it is true that the 32-year-old is past his prime, one must also understand that in the current market, there is also no one better than the former New England Patriots player.

Apart from a sporting benefit, Cam Newton is also a very popular name in the NFL. He will also provide a much-needed boost for Houston Texans in terms of popularity and help bring more people into the stadium. So yes, the Texans should try their best to recruit Newton before sinking further.
