The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off a major steal with the acquisition of Tom Brady in the offseason. They followed that up with another star signing in the form of tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski came out of retirement to link-up with former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in Florida.

36-year old quarterback Jameis Winston put in some decent displays for Tampa Bay last season. However, he was guilty of committing a fair amount of turnovers. In comparison, Tom Brady ended his 2019 season with 4,000+ yards with a below-par offensive line. Julian Edelman was the only WR who stood out for the Patriots last year.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – A match made in heaven?

In their first season playing under new coach Bruce Arians, the Bucs registered a 7-9 record in the NFL. In doing so, Tampa Bay improved their 5-11 record from 2018. In addition to that, former starting quarterback, Jameis Winston became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw 30 TDs and 30 interceptions in the same season.

In six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, the Bucs have acquired a strong weapon heading into the 2020 season. If we add to that their already existing explosive running arsenal of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and OJ Howard, Tampa Bay could challenge Patrick Mahomes and Co. in a potential Super Bowl showdown this year.
